University of Alabama (UA) is a public institution that was founded in 1831. It is located in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The spirit of competition is high at UA, as the Alabama Crimson Tide participate and win often in the NCAA Division I Southeastern Conference. “Big Al,” is the team’s mascot. When they’re not cheering on their teams, students might be touring historical Gorgas House, exploring the university’s Natural History Museum, or visiting Birmingham, just 60 miles away.
