The University of New Hampshire was founded in 1866 in Durham, New Hampshire. It is now an R1 research university in the top 20% of universities across the country for research and funding.

Students are evaluated based on recommendation letters, class rank, high school coursework and grades, test scores (which are optional to submit), and an essay.

For the school year of 2020 to 2021, more than 266 million dollars were awarded in financial aid. The average scholarship award is $12,400. An impressive 88% of first-year, full-time students receive financial aid. Tuition for in-state students is $18,962 whereas tuition for out-of-state students is $37,202.
