California State University Long Beach (CSULB) offers 151 different degrees and more than 60 minors. The school also offers many certificates for graduate students. There are currently about 6,000 graduate students who are enrolled in 65 different graduate degree programs. There are also four doctoral degrees offered.

The university was founded in 1949 in Long Beach, California with just 160 students and 13 faculty members. Classes occurred in an old apartment building which had been converted. Now, it is a thriving, reputable, university.

71% of all undergraduates are provided some form of financial aid. The Princeton Review has named the school as one of the best value schools. Tuition for in-state students is $6,846. For out-of-state students tuition is $18,726.

The school is located just three miles from the ocean on a 322-acre campus. The campus offers Japanese gardens, the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music, the Kleefeld Contemporary Art Museum, and so much more.
