The Citadel was founded in 1842. The school has more than 2,300 total cadets on campus across their undergraduate and graduate programs. The school is located in Charleston, South Carolina, a beautiful small town.

The school believes that paying for college should not limit a student from receiving a superb education. 83% of all students receive some form of financial aid. 65% of all cadets receive awards which are not loans. There are more than 1,000 scholarships available. 13 million dollars are awarded in ROTC scholarships and $23,000 is the average financial aid provided to each cadet.

22% of the Citadel graduate college program are veterans. The school has been ranked the number one college for veterans in the South.
