Founded in 1878, Creighton University is a private co-ed Roman Catholic institution located in Omaha, Nebraska. True to its Jesuit heritage, Creighton is known for its commitment to excellent academics and service. It is America’s largest Catholic health professions educator. Notable alumni include TD Ameritrade founder Joe Ricketts, as well as NASA astronaut and Columbia crewmember Michael P. Anderson.

Students can study abroad through several different university programs, including “Encuentro Dominico,” a semester-long, service-focused study abroad program in the Dominican Republic. Faculty-led summer abroad programs are also an option. The Creighton Bluejays compete in the NCAA Division I Big East Conference. Off campus, students can explore Omaha’s local restaurants and shops, wander around the Old Market District, or walk across the Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge, which connects Nebraska and Iowa.
