Stevens’ education emphasizes innovation and entrepreneurship. When students begin at Stevens, they are required to have certain technology and software that is specialized for their chosen field of study. Career preparation is important at Stevens, and some students opt for a 5-year cooperative education track, which includes semesters of full-time paid work. While Stevens also offers liberal arts education, those programs integrate technology and science into the curriculum. Students can participate in more than 100 clubs and organizations, including about 15 fraternities and sororities. Most students opt to live on campus, where housing is guaranteed for four years. The Stevens Ducks compete in Middle Atlantic Conference. When they aren’t studying or socializing on campus, students might venture into nearby New York City, or enjoy the small town feel of Hoboken, the “Mile Square City.”
