Founded in 1911, Loyola Marymount University (LMU) is a private institution located in Los Angeles, California. LMU is the largest Catholic university on the West coast. It is nationally regarded for its top-tier resources, interdisciplinary research facilities, and its premier William H. Hannon Library. Other popular groups include the campus radio station, The Los Angeles Loyolan newspaper, The Tower yearbook, or ROAR Network, the campus television channel. The LMU Lions compete in the NCAA Division I West Coast Conference. Off campus, students can explore Los Angeles, a hub for film and entertainment.
